General Rules

- The competition is open for everyone who is interested
- The tasks will be announced at the beginning of the month, and time period for solving them is ~15 days
- To make the solving of the optimization easier, tasks are prepared as excel files, with formulas for automatic score calculation. Completed tasks should be copied and sent to the editor by an email
- Completed tasks can be sent more than once until the specified deadline elapses and competitors who send completed tasks can see all the results arrived to that point
- Scoring of each task is specifically defined by the rules, and general rankings will be calculated in percentages comparing to the best solution (or solutions) which worth 100 points
- 10 most successful competitors of the round get bonus points from 10 to 1. In case of the same results, the time of sending them is decisive
- 8 best scores during the year are used for calculating general rankings of The Optimizers’ League, which means that the maximum possible number of points is 880

TASK: In the first grid, enter the same number of letters A, B and C. Each letter will color with the same color of the field arranged as in the picture below. The same letters must not touch, even diagonally.

CALCULATION: Fields in the color of the letter A are worth 1 point, in the color of the letter B 1.5 points, and in the color of the letter C 2 points. If two fields colored by typing different letters overlap, the values are added and the result is negative. The total amount of points is increased by the percentage of occupied area. Maximize your score.

ZADATAK: U prvu mrežu, upišite jednak broj slova A, B i C. Svako upisano slovo obojiće istom bojom polja raspoređena kao na slici ispod. Ista slova se ne smeju dodirivati, čak ni dijagonalno.

OBRAČUN: Polja u boji slova A vrede 1 poen, u boji slova B 1.5, a u boji slova C 2 poena. Ako se dva polja obojena upisivanjem različitih slova preklapaju, vrednosti se sabiraju, a rezultat je negativan. Ukupna suma poena se uvećava za procenat zauzete površine. Maksimizujte svoj rezultat.
